Terms

✔ Permitted Uses:

  • Personal Use: Licensee is permitted to use the karaoke tracks for personal use, which includes activities such as teaching, school projects, or other personal projects that are not intended for public distribution or commercial purposes.
  • Performances: Licensee is allowed to use the karaoke tracks for live performances, including public or private events.
  • Uploading Videos or Audio on Social Media Platforms: Licensee is permitted to upload and monetize videos or audio recordings of themselves singing to the karaoke versions on social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitch. However, Licensee acknowledges that certain songs may be subject to Content ID systems on platforms like YouTube, which may limit monetization opportunities due to the presence of the original song unless a sync license is purchased.

 

❌ Prohibited Uses:

  • Uploading Tracks without Vocal Addition: Licensee is prohibited from uploading videos or audio recordings of the karaoke tracks without any vocal addition. The karaoke tracks should always be used in conjunction with Licensee's singing.
  • Creating and Uploading New Karaoke Videos with Lyrics: Licensee is not permitted to create or upload new karaoke videos with lyrics synchronized to the karaoke tracks.
  • Claiming Music as Own: Licensee shall not claim ownership of the karaoke tracks or the underlying compositions. This includes uploading a cover with Licensor's tracks to YouTube's Content ID system.
  • Distributing Audio to Music Streaming Platforms: Licensee is prohibited from distributing the audio recordings of the karaoke tracks to music streaming platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, and other similar services.
  • Monetization Restrictions: Licensee agrees not to monetize the karaoke tracks in any way outside of YouTube's monetization program and live performances. This includes any form of commercial exploitation, such as selling the karaoke tracks or using them for profit outside of YouTube. In order to monetize your video on YouTube you'll likely need to get a sync license here and fill out the Content-ID release form as many of these songs are in the Content ID system.
